Welcome to our Kindergarten
- that every child is unique, who should be constantly learning, develop resilience, be capable, confident and self-assured;
- children learn to be strong and independent through the positive relationships that they form;
- children learn and develop best in environments where they are taught and supported by adults, who respond to their individual interests and needs and help them to build their learning over time;
- children benefit from strong partnerships between school staff and parents and/or carers;
- children develop and learn at different rates
- planning and teaching must enable provision for all children, including those with additional needs.
Our school is a vibrant, warm and inspiring place for children to learn. Our highly skilled teachers create opportunities to develop children’s natural curiosity to explore the world around them from a very young age. We strive to engage children’s intrinsic desire to learn and we hope this is a value that will remain with them throughout their lives.
The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) provides a safe and secure environment in which our youngest children can grow and learn, both academically and socially-emotionally. Classrooms are set up to encourage young children’s natural play behaviour and allow free and structured access to a wide range of resources.
Early Years Foundation Stage
This important stage covers the Pre-Nursery, Nursery and Reception classes, which offers our youngest children a carefully integrated three year programme of learning. The progress of each child is closely monitored across the key areas which make up this stage:
Specific areas
- Literacy
- Mathematics
- Expressive Art and Design
- Understanding the World
Prime areas
- Personal, Emotional and Social development
- Communication and Language
- Physical development
During these formative years, we place particular emphasis on personal, social and emotional development. As the children move through Early Years they build on their understanding of the world around them

Character Education
We are actively working towards becoming accredited as a Character School, with a clear focus on instilling our six core values: Learn, Respect, Succeed, Empathy, Integrity, and Teamwork. Our aim is to embed these values into the fabric of our students’ daily lives, preparing them for both academic achievement and personal growth.
Benefits of Character Education
ISO's Commitment: Through carefully planned daily impact sessions, our teachers are committed to instilling these principles and values in a practical and engaging way. Our approach ensures that Character Education is not just a requirement, but a lived experience that prepares students for academic success and lifelong personal development.
