NextGen after school

clubs 15-17

Our school is a vibrant, warm and inspiring place for children to learn. Our highly skilled teachers are developing the children’s natural curiosity to explore the world around them, from a very young age. We do our best to engage children’s intrinsic desire to learn and we hope this will remain throughout their lives.

Whether or students ultimately take them, the structure and potential content of the Cambridge exams provide a comprehensive framework for extending language abilities in young learners and using them within interesting and engaging contexts. Furthermore, the goal of taking the Cambridge exams can provide clear objectives that can focus students on the challenge of language acquisition and imbue them with a sense of purpose and accomplishment.

All of the Cambridge-based clubs described below shall use the topics, vocabulary and grammar points necessary for success in their respective exams as the foundation for activities that revise and extend language abilities using fun and enjoyable activities including role-plays, quizzes, and games.

Due to time constraints, emphasis shall be placed on speaking and listening. Some reading or writing activities may be assigned as supplementary homework to reinforce topics covered in a week’s activities or to prime students for the activities of the following week.

Three Cambridge-based clubs are currently proposed – one each for levels A1, A2, and B1. Although recommended age groups are provided for each club, it is recommended that students be assigned primarily according to ability level. If there is demand for a club for students at B2 level then that can also be arranged.
