Jamila Fieraru joins the International School of Oradea as our dedicated Year 6 Primary Teacher, bringing a profound passion for foundational learning and holistic child development to Upper Key Stage 2. An Australian-NESA accredited educator, Jamila holds a comprehensive dual Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education from the globally recognised University of New South Wales, where she cultivated a strong academic background in English and History. Her nine years of diverse experience include impactful roles in Australian secondary schools and extensive private tutoring across all age groups, with a particular focus on early and primary-aged children.
Jamila’s teaching philosophy centres on creating a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating classroom where students feel safe to explore, question, and grow—academically, socially, and emotionally. She is adept at designing and delivering engaging, differentiated learning experiences that cultivate student curiosity and foster a lifelong love of learning, aligning seamlessly with ISO’s principles. Having recently relocated to Oradea with her family, Jamila is eager to contribute to ISO’s vibrant, multicultural community and its ethos of “Learn, Respect, Succeed,” preparing students to become independent, critical thinkers and caring global citizens. Fluent in English and French, with developing proficiency in Romanian and Arabic, Jamila is committed to building strong partnerships with both students and the parent community.
Her approach is best summarized by her guiding principle:
“True learning begins not with answers, but with the courage to ask, the curiosity to explore, and the joy found in every discovery along the way.”
