As the sun sets on another incredible summer school, we at the International School of Oradea are thrilled to reflect on the amazing experiences and memories created during our 4-week summer school program. With over 70 enthusiastic students and a dedicated team of seven teachers, our journey through the Ocean Cruise, Desert Cruise, Space Cruise, and Jungle Cruise themes has been nothing short of spectacular. Partnering with Logiscool, we were able to offer unique and engaging programs that captivated the imaginations of our students and enriched their learning experiences.
Week 1: Ocean Cruise
Our adventure began with the Ocean Cruise, where students dived into the mysteries of the deep blue sea. From exploring marine life to understanding ocean ecosystems, the week was filled with exciting activities and hands-on learning experiences.
Parents were equally impressed with the week’s activities.’’The most beneficial for my child I believe are the behavioral well established limits and teaching him to respect boundaries. He also comes home and asks us questions about letters and words and math related questions, which clearly tells me he enjoys learning and the activities make him curious. That is all I can wish for at this age” shared Mrs. Apolzan.
Week 2: Desert Cruise
Next, we embarked on the Desert Cruise, where students explored the vast and intriguing landscapes of the world’s deserts. They learned about desert animals, plants, and the unique adaptations that allow life to thrive in such harsh conditions.
‘’Children really enjoyed learning about the wonderful animals in the desert, they were fascinated about the interesting facts they discovered and were curious and engaged in all the interactive activities we had,” said Dorotea Pop, one of our dedicated teachers. “
Week 3: Space Cruise
The third week took us beyond our planet with the Space Cruise. Students became young astronauts, learning about the solar system, stars, and the mysteries of outer space.
“I loved learning about the planets and building my own rocket model,” exclaimed Alex, a budding astronomer in the program. “It made me want to learn even more about space!”
Our partnership with Logiscool added an extra layer of excitement, offering students the chance to engage with technology and coding in a space-themed context. “The innovative approach has sparked a newfound passion for learning in our students, it was wonderful to see the students being motivated and captivated.” noted Ms. Evelina, ISO teacher.
Week 4: Jungle Cruise
We concluded our summer adventure with the Jungle Cruise, immersing students in the vibrant and diverse ecosystems of the world’s jungles. They learned about the flora and fauna of these dense forests, participated in jungle-themed crafts.
” This year’s summer school was an exiting “Cruise” through ocean, desert, space and jungle. The students enjoyed fun activities, songs, crafts and games, from creating marine life art to building space rockets and jungle animal masks. The programme made learning a fun and unforgettable adventure for our young explorers” said Mr. Alexandra.
