At ISO, the spirit of community shines brightest when we come together for a greater cause—and our recent Autumn Festival Fundraiser was no exception! On a crisp autumn day, our school transformed into a cozy marketplace bursting with the warmth of homemade goodies and handcrafted treasures, all created with love by our students.
From the youngest bakers wielding sprinkles with artistic flair to the older students proudly presenting their perfectly flaky pies, the event was a delicious success. Tables brimmed with cookies, cakes, pastries, and all things sweet, while the air buzzed with excitement as hand-made fall crafts found new homes. But this wasn’t just about indulging our sweet tooth—it was about extending a helping hand.
This year, we partnered with Fundația Tuna, a non-profit dedicated to supporting those in need, to raise funds for the flood victims in Galați. The devastation there called for action, and our students, staff, and families responded with open hearts and rolling pins at the ready. Together, we not only raised a significant amount to aid those affected but also witnessed the joy that comes from giving.
There’s something extraordinary about watching children light up—not just because they made the perfect batch of cookies (although that’s a win too!) but because they knew their efforts were making a difference. That sense of pride, of being part of something bigger, is a gift in itself.
As we look ahead to the holiday season, this event was a beautiful reminder of the timeless truth: it is better to give than to receive. It set the tone for the months ahead, where we hope to continue fostering that same spirit of generosity, kindness, and connection.
To everyone who baked, crafted, bought, or simply cheered us on—thank you. Together, we showed that the ISO community isn’t just about learning; it’s about lifting each other up, one slice of pie at a time.
Warm wishes,
The ISO Team
